Stat Block Builder

I wanted a simple way to take a creature I built in monster.pf2.tools, drop in the exported JSON, and get back a stat block that actually looks good enough to use in a module, VTT handout, GM notes, or whatever other nonsense I decide to make.

So I built one.

How It Works

The workflow is deliberately stupid-simple:

  1. Create Stat Block opens monster.pf2.tools.
  2. Build your creature there and export its JSON file.
  3. Import Stat Block brings that JSON into this tool.
  4. Review the finished stat block.
  5. Export Image downloads the completed PNG directly from your browser.

That's it.  There's nothing else to it.

What It Supports

The renderer handles full creature stat blocks, including traits, alignment, size, creature type, perception, languages, skills, Lore skills, ability modifiers, AC, saves, HP, immunities, weaknesses, resistances, movement, melee and ranged Strikes, spellcasting, cantrips, constant spells, rituals, defensive abilities, offensive abilities, and one-, two-, three-, free-, and reaction-action activities.

Long stat blocks are fine. Weird stat blocks are fine. Ridiculous stat blocks are encouraged.

A Few Important Notes

This tool does not include creature content from Paizo or anybody else. It formats the creature data that you import.

The trade dress, action icons, renderer, and application itself are original work created for this project. Stat Block Builder is an independent third-party tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Paizo Inc.

Pathfinder is a trademark of Paizo Inc.

Why Is This Free?

Because I wanted the tool for my own work anyway, and once I had the thing working, keeping it locked on my computer felt stupid.

Use it to make monsters, bosses, and/or terrible creature ideas that your players will complain about for years.

If it saves you some time and you feel like throwing a few dollars at me, donations are absolutely appreciated. They are not required.

Now go make something awful for your players.
